Buehring Claims 2025 South Central Division 4 Championship

As we enter the final hours of anticipation leading up to the 2025 South Central Division 4 Champions Banquet, we arrive at the final category of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series to be recognized—Top Sportsman.

This season’s Top Sportsman championship came down to consistency, clutch performances, and delivering when it mattered most. Mark Buehring emerged as the 2025 South Central Division 4 Top Sportsman Champion after putting together an impressive season that included a victory in Dallas along with two quarterfinal finishes. Those results propelled Buehring to the top of the standings with 292 points, allowing him to edge out a highly competitive field.

Finishing second was Kelly Land, who captured a win in Tulsa and closed the season with 257 points, showcasing both speed and determination throughout the year.

Rounding out the top three was the 2024 defending champion, Jimmy Lewis, who continued his strong Top Sportsman presence with a final-round appearance in Tulsa, proving once again why he remains a perennial contender in the category.

We look forward to celebrating all of our top finishers from the JDRL, Summit Racing Equipment, and Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series as we honor an outstanding 2025 season at tonight’s banquet. Congratulations to these competitors for their hard work, dedication, and exceptional performances on the track.
