NHRA SUMMIT JR. ET FINALS AT THE TEXAS MOTORPLEX RESCHEDULED

DALLAS, September 6, 2018 –This weekend’s NHRA Summit Jr. Drag Racing League Jr. ET Finals at the Texas Motorplex has been rescheduled for October 19-21, 2018.  Because weather forecasts are calling for rain for much of the event weekend, TMP Track Officials and NHRA working together, opted to change the date with input collected from tracks, racers, sponsors, and fans.

“The persistent rain forecasted from the latest Tropical Storm for the area have us concerned,” said NHRA South Central division director Trey Capps.  “We hope that by making the call this early we’ll save our racers some travel expenses.”

For more information about the upcoming race at The Texas Motorplex, call the track, (972) 878-2641 or visit  www.NHRAdiv4.com

This date change will also shuffle the American Jr. Dragster Challenge Event that was scheduled for the Saturday of the Jr. ET Finals Weekend. The Texas Motorplex will still host the American Jr Dragster Challenge on Saturday October 20, 2018. Followed by the Summit Jr ET Finals event on Sunday October 21st. Gates will open on Friday October 19, 2018 at Noon, with a TNT from 5pm-8pm. NHRA Member Tracks sending teams will have until Monday October 15th to resubmit team rosters if any changes need to be made.
